Introduction

The aim of this guide is to show how chemical structures and associated data should be entered when registering new AR-C compounds into ABACUS. AR-C compounds are copied regularly into ISIS and the CCDB, and they will also be transferred into the new corporate AstraZeneca compound database (ISAC) due towards the end of 2001. Meanwhile, it is important that we maintain the quality of new data in ABACUS, so that these transfers take place smoothly and with no loss of chemical information.
